Blackboard Coffee × Mountain River
From 19 October 2026, we’re serving Blackboard Coffee at Mountain River.
Based in Burleigh Heads, Blackboard is co-owned by Danny Andrade, the 2026 Australian Roasters Champion. Their work with producers brings together shared knowledge, processing experiments and respect for the character of each origin.
Sing and Danny met to taste the coffees and discuss a project for Mountain River: five weeks, five coffees and a different small dessert from our kitchen each week.
The series explores Blackboard’s Kenya Sensory Collection, produced by Martin Muriuki at Ngacha Coffee Estate. Five processing methods bring out different flavours from the same harvest.
